A chore app for kids.
A clear view for parents.
Chore Miner turns family responsibilities into quests on iPhone and iPad. Kids and teens earn gems for approved work, build habit streaks, and choose real-life rewards—while you set the rules.
App Store coming soonA chore chart they can make their own
Give each child a personal to-do list. Choose templates or write your own tasks with clear instructions and gem values. Schedule daily, every-other-day, weekday, weekly, or one-time chores. Assign a quest to one child or share it across your children.
Parent approval before gems land
Kids mark a quest complete; parents approve it before gems are awarded by default. Turn on automatic approval for individual tasks when you choose. Undo an approval and ask for a retry if something was missed. Every authorized parent has the same controls.
Real-life rewards, chosen by your family
Kids spend earned gems on rewards you create: choosing dinner, extra play time, an ice cream trip, or a cash allowance. Add task-count or streak criteria, including zero-gem rewards for a habit milestone. Parents provide the actual reward; the app does not send money or automatically unlock screen time.
A game-like reason to keep going
Badges recognize effort and consistency. Every 1,000 lifetime gems opens another illustrated mining area, with 100 areas and 10 depths each. Spending gems on a reward never reduces lifetime mining progress. Celebrations wait for the child to see them.
Progress you can actually see
Parents and children can see gems per day, completed quests, streaks, and reward history. Parents can inspect pending approvals and reward delivery, give bonus gems, and manage each child’s profile. Active-task stats leave out disabled quests.
Offline saving. Nearby family syncing.
Chores and progress save on your iPhone or iPad. Pair authorized family devices with a short-lived QR invitation and parent confirmation. Open the apps nearby with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled to share updates. Internet alone does not provide remote sync or background activity notifications.
Your family’s routine, without a monthly plan. No ads, subscriptions, cloud accounts, or buying gems. Parent PIN controls, device access management, offline recovery codes, and encrypted manual backups are built in.
Is it a good fit for your family?
Can our family use just one iPad?
Yes. Children can use the family’s shared iPhone or iPad, and parents enter their PIN for parent controls. Parent mode stays open until it is manually locked. Lock it before handing the device back to a child.
How is this different from a paper chore chart?
Chore Miner keeps a separate list for each child, repeats scheduled tasks, records approvals and history, and tracks gems toward custom rewards. Kids can see their progress as an illustrated mining adventure, while parents can review the work from their own paired device.
Is this an allowance or debit-card app?
You can offer an allowance as a family reward, but Chore Miner tracks earned gems rather than bank accounts. It does not transfer money, issue cards, or pay children. Parents fulfill all rewards outside the app.
Do we need a subscription or account?
No subscription or cloud account is required. There are no ads or gem purchases. Public App Store availability and pricing will be shown on the listing when the app launches; it is currently in private family use.
What happens when family devices are apart?
Each device keeps its local saved work. Submissions wait to sync, and parent approval waits until the parent receives them. Purchases made offline are reconciled when devices reconnect; a purchase may be rejected if earlier activity spent the available gems. Optional local reminders use the last synced information.
Where is our family’s data stored?
Family chore data stays on your devices and is shared directly with the family devices you authorize. Parents can export password-protected backups to a destination they choose. Apple device backups may include app data depending on device settings. Chore Miner does not upload family data to an app server.
