  3. Open parent Settings and tap Export encrypted backup.
02

Create and save the file

#
  1. Enter a Backup password with at least 12 characters and enter it again to confirm.
  2. Enter your current parent PIN under Authorize with your PIN.

Keep backups useful

#

The backup includes family configuration, profiles, balances/history, catalog order, reminder settings, and pending financial work. It excludes device credentials, PINs, recovery codes, and delivered-notification state. Keep the file private.

  • Export before replacing a device, restoring, permanently deleting a profile, or resetting a family.
  • Keep a recent backup after major changes and important progress. Backups are manual, not automatic.
  • Use clear dated filenames and retain an older known-good copy until a new backup is confirmed.
  • You choose the destination in Files. Choosing iCloud Drive or another provider uses that provider’s storage; Chore Miner does not perform a cloud upload itself.
