Fix missing updates or stalled syncing
Check proximity, permissions, versions, clocks, and queued work before taking destructive action.
- Bring the devices nearby and unlock them.
- Open Chore Miner on both and keep both apps in the foreground.
- Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If possible, use the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open parent Settings → Devices & sync and tap Sync now.
- Check last sync, connected devices, and queued submissions or purchases. Wait for the queue to update.
- From Devices & sync, tap Open system settings, or find Chore Miner in system Settings.
- Enable Local Network. Check Camera only if pairing is also failing.
- If a guest network isolates devices, try a regular home network.
- If a VPN is interfering with nearby access, check its local-network settings or temporarily disconnect it if appropriate.
- Reopen both apps and try Sync now again.
- Confirm both devices joined the same family, rather than each starting its own.
- Check that neither device has been removed or its child archived. Removed devices need fresh pairing.
- Update Chore Miner on each device when an update is available.
- In system General → Date & Time, check automatic time and the local timezone.
- If the app warns that clocks differ, correct them before making more gem adjustments or purchases.
- Note the action that is missing and which device created it.
- Export safe diagnostics from a parent device.
- Email support with the device models, OS versions, app version, approximate time, and the steps that failed.
- Keep the current app installations and saved data while support investigates.
