Connect another parent
Give another parent their own device access, PIN, and recovery code.
- On an existing parent device, open Family.
- Tap Connect another parent. Keep the invitation screen open.
- Have the other parent open Chore Miner and choose Join with a parent’s QR code → Scan QR code.
- After scanning, the joining device should say Parent access.
- The new parent chooses their own six-digit PIN, confirms it, and taps Connect to family.
- On the inviting parent’s device, confirm the device name and parent role, then tap Approve connection.
- On the new device, save its recovery code outside the app and acknowledge that it is saved.
- Keep both apps open, then check that the new parent can see the existing family.
Every authorized parent can manage quests, badges, rewards, approvals, gems, profiles, and devices. Each parent device has its own PIN and recovery code.
- Sync before making overlapping changes when you can.
- When a parent approves work or fulfills a reward, sync again so the other parent sees it.
- Keep automatic date and time enabled on each device. Offline financial actions are ordered by their timestamps when devices reconnect.
