Create and edit quests

Give a responsibility clear instructions, a gem value, an assignment, and an approval setting.

Add a quest

  1. Open the parent portal and tap Quests (checklist icon).
  2. Tap Create a quest, or choose an item under Quick-start templates.
  3. Enter a short Quest title, then describe what finished work should look like.
  4. In Gems earned, tap the number and type a whole-number value. You can also use the +/− controls.

Set the schedule and assignment

  1. Choose a Repeat option. For Every other day, also set the First due date.
  2. Leave Parent approval required on unless you want this particular quest to award gems automatically when the child submits it.
  3. In Assign to, leave All children on or turn it off and select the children who should do this quest.
  4. Choose a Quest icon. Keep Active quest on, then tap Save.

Update an existing quest

Use clear finish lines: “Put clothes in the hamper and toys in their bins” is easier to check than “Clean up.”

  1. Tap the quest in the parent Quests list.
  2. Change the title, instructions, gem amount, recurrence, assignment, icon, or active setting.
  3. Tap Save, then sync with your child’s device.
  4. Check the child’s list to confirm the updated instructions or schedule.
